Sheddrick “Skip” Gibbs, aka “Skiip Luciano” was Born in Hanau, Germany to military parents. Being raised as a “military brat,” Skip had the privilege of being exposed to many cultures that molded him into the dynamic artist that 
he is today. After moving around frequently as most military kids do, his family finally settled in the rough and diverse city of Durham, NC. Currently he is based in Greenville, N.C. and is signed with Vyzion Entertainment.
Skip did not grow up with the proverbial silver spoon. He and his 5 siblings were raised by his single mother with help from his late grandmother. Skip was always artistically gifted. “He could draw and paint very well before he could spell his name” his mother notes. He was a solid student who loved to read and write but was also known for being a bit of a trouble maker and “class clown.” Skip is currently is an accomplished Tattooer/ Visual Artist at a renowned studio.
Since a young boy, he was always fascinated with anything retro. Skip often hung out with his grandmother and her friends at “liquor houses” where he was exposed to all types of music. He began writing music in his early teens and “freestyling” to himself as he skateboarded in his spare time.
Skip decided to pursue music seriously in 2008 with encouragement from friends and family. This incredible artist is fueled by great diversity as he was inspired some of the greatest musical legends of all time. His influences include: Otis Redding, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, James Brown, Sammy Davis Jr., Nirvana, Nas, Jay-Z, Rakim, Outkast, Scarface, Mumford and Sons, Manchester Orchestra, The Ethnographers, UGK, The Staple Singers, Aaron Neville, and many others not listed.
After the release of his well received Mixtape “Extra Cool” in 2008, Skip was approached by several labels (including Columbia) but turned them down in an effort to maintain creative control. He has opened for acts such as The Cool Kids, Pac Div, Skyzoo and Dow Jones.
Skip decided to join the Vyzion team in order to provide great music for the masses but still maintain roots and to remain grounded in North Carolina. He feels that in order to be successful on a global scale you have to have support and love on a local scale first. With a combination of his affinity for so many genres of music, his unique delivery and humble personality, Skip Luciano is sure to become a well known artist in the authentic hip hop scene.
